Knee replacement - oh joy!

I've just been told that the knee replacement surgery I need is very painful. Wonderful! I'm so thrilled! (That's sarcasm, in case you can't tell.) The silver lining in this is that at least I'll be able to walk when it's all over. A 4-6 week recovery, if everything goes as it's supposed to. I've been under the influence of Morphein before - a great pain killer (and yes, it was surgery). Too bad it's only for a few days. Then comes the fun. Oh well, another of life's little hurdles to get through. I'll beef about it for a while and then that will be that.
